Full-time Dissertation Students

*** This message is for Full-time students who are currently working on their MSc Dissertation.

All full-time students must submit their dissertation on Monday 6th January 2014 before 1pm. 

No extensions to this date and time are possible.

January Dissertation Submissions

*** This message is of those students who commenced their MSc Dissertation Project last September.***

The first possible submission date for dissertations is Monday 6th January, 2014 before 1pm
No extensions are possible to this date and time.

If I do not receive a dissertation submission before 1pm I will assume you will be submitting on 24th March.

If you intend to submit your dissertation on 6th January you should discuss this with your supervisor.

Submitting your Dissertation
Submit your dissertation in PDF format via email to Brendan Tierney.  Make sure that the document conforms with the dissertation template, formatting and page lengths.  All of this information is available on the Dissertation webpage.

You do not need to submit a printed dissertation document on the 6th January.

Presentations
The presentation of your dissertations will be during week of 20th January.  I will be posting a provisional presentation schedule on the 6th January.

You will have a maximum of 30 minutes for your presentation and discussions. This will consist of maximum of 15 minutes for your presentation and will be followed by 10 minutes for discussion.

You should bring your presentation of a USB key.

Research Writing and Scientific Literature Class Saturday November 16th

Class on Saturday will start @ 9.30
The morning session will cover module material (not directly related to your assignment but relevant for future work)
The afternoon session will be a practical session where people will work in groups to achieve some writing tasks which will be applicable to your work on the assignment.

Research Writing/Problem Solving Sat 9th November (F.A.O Part-time students)

There will be a Research Writing and Scientific Literature class on Saturday 9th Nov starting @ 9.00

There will also be a Problem Solving class on Saturday 9th Nov starting @ 13.00


The final class for Research Writing and Scientific Literature will be on Saturday 16th Nov starting @ 9.00

Research Methods starts at 9:30am tomorrow, I have a guest lecturer coming in, so please try to make it in on time.
