MSc Dissertations & Proposals Semester 1

The following notice is for those students who have completed all the necessary modules and would like to commence their dissertation in Semester 1 2012-2013.


In order to be considered for Semester 1, you need to submit a detailed project proposal, via email to Brendan Tierney, before 1pm on 5th Sepetember.  Any proposals submitted after this date and time will not be considered for Semeser 1.

A presentation schedule will be posted on this blog on 7th September.  All proposal presentations will be on 11th, 12th and/or 13th September, commencing at 5:15pm.

For the presentation you will have a maximum of 12 minutes for your presentation. This will be followed by a short discussion.

At the end of your presentation time slot you will be given feedback on your proposal. The outcomes will be one of the following:

• OK to proceed. You are ready to execute your project proposal. You can proceed to register for the dissertation module, pay the module fee and commence work on your project.
• Not ready to proceed. Your project proposal is not ready to be executed. You will be given feedback on what areas need more work/research. You can resubmit your proposal in January 2013 to be considered for Semester 2.
